Inland Cold Storage
Electrical design build for 41,000 sq. ft. freezer addition and 9,500 sq. ft. 40 degree cooler loading dock. Electrical scope included providing new 2,500-amp 480/277 volt 3 phase 4 wire distribution section to existing 2,500-amp service.
This distribution provided power to new 175 HP refrigeration compressor and associated panel board loads. Additional 80kw generator for emergency lighting and refrigeration life safety was incorporated.
For refrigeration system, VFD motors on evaporators were used as well as on air units. New battery charger room electrical and rework of existing battery charges.
Dock area included (8) dock leveler with control panels. Lighting design incorporated state of the art T-5 fluorescent lighting fixtures rated for freezer applications.
